Eye See You!

... so I'm sitting at work today and I'm pretty bored... so decided to draw an eyeball in illustrator... then decided to animate it in After Effects... I haven't used AE in like a month and I've already forgotten half the stuff I learned about it... so this animation is pretty weak.. lol... anyway, take a look.

Oh, and here's the eyeball I made in illustrator...

Birthday Bash!

A friend of mine asked me to make him a flyer for his birthday keg party he's having a in a few weeks. I obliged and came up with this in about an hour...

As I said, it's just something simple I quickly put together... and once again I'm palying with pattern, masks, and colors I typically haven't used in the past... we'll see where this takes me.

If typefaces were people

#3 Geometry

For some reason I just felt like playin with hexagons... I got tired of fooling with this.. so this is all I have for now... that litte star thing over the eye probably looks silly.. as well as the gradiated curves at the top.... just exploring new ideas and colors once again...

Portrait #2

Here's something else I put together today... I'm really just messing with masks and photo manipulation at this point.. the background is a heavily modified, layered, blurred photo of a giant fish tank... ha! Using patterns as a mask has a pretty dope effect.. anyway...

Self-Portrait

I drew a bunch of sketches and scanned them in today to make a series of self-portraits. I plan to do a large series based on several photos/sketches/inpirations, but this week, I'm going to focus them on this silly picture I took wearing a set of old-assed saftey goggles. Check it out.... (I don't know bout the type, I just felt like adding some.. and it was the first phrase that popped into my head)

Here's the original photo.
