I've really been loving this Higgin's ink the Starlight Drive-in guy told us about... I used it on my self-portrait... and I also made some animal illustrations that are going to be used for the Jane ID booklet...
with that said... A peacock is about the most painstaking animal to paint.. hands down...
I figured the first time I see myself everyday is when I brush my teeth, so why not illustrate that?
Here's a freelance piece I put together right before heading overseas. I had about a week to put this together, but the end result isn't half bad. I did send off my after effects files to the studio I was working with and they did make some significant changes (some of the type and all the illustrations past 1:28 in particular). Unfortunately I was unable to make the changes myself since I was out of town so much. Anyway, this is one of those videos that's created to be viral. Last years' version got almost a million hits on youtube, so hopefully this get popular as well. It's been live for only 2 days, so we'll have to wait and see...
I never had time to really work with color however. I plan to explore more with type animation next year because it's starting to look stale to me... but anyway, take a look
